My Personal Valet, owner and Corporate Concierge member Paula Stein has a large and close-knit family. For Paula, the holidays are a special time to be with family.
“I love being at my mother’s house on Christmas Eve trying to figure out what we are going to eat that night because we have waited too late to get takeout anywhere because everyone closes early on Christmas Eve. Then, my sister Trelia, my mother and I would cook whatever dish(es) and desserts we were to prepare for Christmas dinner and wrap gifts until the weeeee hours on Christmas morning.
I loved Christmas Eve as a child. Trelia, Erik and I got to sleep in my parents big, comfy king-sized bed. We would be so anxious about what we were getting for Christmas. It would take us forever to go to sleep. We would talk and talk and talk until we would all finally doze off. We’d jump up with the crack of daylight and run into the living room to see what Santa had left us under the Christmas tree. Oh, the memories!”
Preparing Christmas dinner can be a lot of fun, especially if you have a big family like Paula to help out on the kitchen. What if you are not the chef in the family? There are many options for serving a fresh, delicious holiday meal to your family. Whole Foods Market is a great place for holiday food shopping. You can pick up all the ingredients for your favorite recipe or even order the entire Christmas dinner already prepared and ready to serve.
