The Michelob Ultra No. 14 Katy 5K Run-Walk-Skate is an annual event to raise money for the Katy Trail. Approximately 5,000 people are expected to participate. The event will be held Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Reverchon Park (3505 Maple Ave. at Turtle Creek Boulevard in Dallas). Online registration is available now at www.KatyTrailDallas.org

7:15 p.m. – Katy’s Picnic Opens
Proceeds from the event will help fund maintenance and improvements to the Katy Trail, which is very popular with runners and walkers. Enjoy music from LIVE 80 and more than 50 local restaurants will provide food and drinks at Katy’s Picnic after the race.
Luke’s Locker will serve as race headquarters. Online registration is available at www.KatyTrailDallas.org or www.lukeslocker.com. Race organizers expect another sell-out with 5,000 participants – they encourage runners to register early.

The Friends of the Katy Trail is a non-profit organization created to raise money for the design, construction, maintenance and security of the Katy Trail – a linear park set among 30 acres of urban forest in the most-densely populated part of Dallas.
