Main St. The Sweetheart Express brunch and train excursion will run Sunday, February 14.
The magic begins before the ride even starts, as strolling violinists perform for passengers on the platform. The Sweetheart Express includes refreshing mimosas, followed by an enjoyable champagne brunch and dancing at River Ranch in the historic Fort Worth Stockyards. During the return trip from the Stockyards to Grapevine, passengers will receive special gifts to commemorate the occasion.
The Sweetheart Express departs the Cotton Belt Depot at 10:30 a.m. and returns at 3:30 p.m. Tickets are $80 per person and may be purchased in advance at www.GVRR.com or by calling 817-410-3123.
Valentine’s Day Wine Trail
Love is in the air and a romantic, heart-felt toast is underway. Feel the love on a wine tasting date — the perfect way to spend some quality time with your sweetheart on Valentine’s Day…or grab some friends for a double date on the wine trail! It’s the ideal place for wine enthusiasts and couples to celebrate the holiday of amore. Go hand in hand on the 3rd annual Valentine’s Day Wine Trail, which takes place Saturday, Feb. 13 and Sunday, Feb. 14 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Your memorable day of romance begins at Cross Timbers Winery, located at 805 N. Main St. in Grapevine. Each ticket includes three one-ounce tastes at each winery, a premium bottle of wine, a large wine glass and delectable food samplings. The wine trail includes visits to eight wineries in Grapevine and a map for a self-guided adventure through the enchanting and historical streets of Grapevine. Transportation is not available, so be sure to designate a driver.
