Corporate Concierge, Jenny Crossland was Principal of The Day at Zaragoza Elementary school. The program that places people in the community with elementary, middle and high schools in Dallas Independent School District is sponsored by Capital One Bank.  Trammell Crow Center is beginning their 2-3 year partnership with Zaragoza Elementary School through the FACES of Change program which is initiated by Crescent Real Estate, the owners of Trammell Crow Center.

Of the fellow Principals of the Day that Jenny met, all had positive experiences that changed their perception of these Dallas schools. They all witnessed caring and organized Principals, passionate and quality teachers, and obedient and respectful students. There are certainly plenty of resources and opportunities to learn for these students. Many of these schools offer a multitude of programs for the parents as well. Parent involvement is the huge area that needs the most improvement. The schools are doing great work each day.

A sofa and lamp were donated to the school for use in their teacher’s lounge. Principal Goff reported that the following day more teachers used the teacher’s lounge at one time than ever before as they said it was just more inviting now. Trammel Crow Center also donated live bamboo plants to be used as centerpieces for each table in the teacher’s lounge.

FACES of Change, a program founded in 1997 by Crescent Real Estate Equities, partners Crescent employees, customers and business associates with elementary schools with limited resources in the communities in which the company serves. Since its inception, FACES of Change has contributed in excess of $2 million in financial and in-kind donations as well as more than 46,000 volunteer hours to 68 schools. Currently, 85 percent of Crescent properties are partnered with schools nationwide.
