The Trains of NorthPark Rolls Into The Station

The Trains at NorthPark, presented by Bank of Texas, is the most elaborate toy train exhibit in all of Texas, completely redesigned and new this season. Set on 1,600 feet of track, the trains roll on a journey across America past scenes of downtown Dallas, the Cotton Bowl and the State Fair of Texas, New York City, Washington, D.C., New England, the Grand Canyon, Route 66, Santa’s North Pole, San Francisco and various cross-country highlights.

The exhibit encompasses more than 4,000 square feet of train themed environments, with all the trimmings of the holiday train travel experience—steam engine and coach cars, water towers and baggage cart, ticket booth and train station. The Trains at NorthPark is viewed by more than 80,000 people each season.

The Trains at NorthPark will run from Saturday, November 20, 2010 through Sunday, January 2, 2011; Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Sunday, Noon to 6 p.m. Please note these date for Early Closings: November 24, Thanksgiving Eve, at 6 p.m.; December 24, Christmas Eve, at 4 p.m.; December 31, New Year’s Eve, at 6 p.m. and January 1, New Year’s Day, at 6 p.m. The Trains at NorthPark, will be closed Thanksgiving and Christmas Day; Open New Year’s Day.

The exhibit is located at NorthPark Center between Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom, Level 2. The  admission is 6.00 for adults and $3.00 for children (ages 2 to 12) and senior citizens (65 and older), Children under 2 admitted free. Discount tickets for $1.00 off regular admission are available at Tom Thumb stores.

The Trains at NorthPark benefits the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas,  a home-away-from-home for families of seriously ill or injured children who have traveled to Dallas and are hospitalized or receiving medical treatment in an area hospital. Proceeds from The Trains at NorthPark benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas, which opened a new House in December 2009.
