A special thanks to Howard and Jowin Wang for hosting the May Corporate Concierge meeting at their new restaurant, Howard Wang’s Uptown Brasserie. We were treated to a sumptuous feast that showcased several of the best dished on the menu of the Uptown Brasserie.

Howard Wang’s Uptown Brasserie opened for business on April 22, 2011 and will celebrate its official Grand Opening in May 2011. Howard Wang has found success in North Dallas by seeking out the freshest of ingredients and creating a menu rich with contemporary and traditional Chinese dishes.

Getting Started With Dim Sum

Our meal started with a wonderful bowl of soup. We had a choice of Wonton or a Hot and Sour soup, which received high praise from everyone.  We were then served the Dim Sum on a Lazy Susan, filled with Edamame, Chicken and Pork Pot Stickers Jade Vegetable Dumplings, Vegetable Spring rolls and Steam Dumplings.

The Feast Continues

We continued to feast on a delicious variety of entrees from Howard Wang’s Uptown menu: the Glazed Walnut Chicken, Vanilla Prawns and Canton Roast Duck were among the selections.

The recipes used are family recipes that build a very loyal following at Howard Wang’s China Grill. With a commitment to quality, the rolls and dumplings are prepared fresh daily. Howard Wang’s is proud to bring this recipe for success to Uptown!

The Brasserie will offer a full menu for Lunch, Dinner, Take Out, and Delivery for the surrounding area, and a very special Room Service for the City Ville residents. The bar at the Brasserie will feature indoor and outdoor seating. The bar will offer a nice blend of house cocktails, wine that compliments the food, and a beer list featuring three Asian beers on tap.

The patio at the Brasserie offers a full menu and will become a destination spot for those enjoying a stroll on the Katy Trail with easy access from the Cole outlet. Download Howard Wang Uptown Menu (pdf)

The Uptown China Brasserie will offer a Happy Hour called “Hang with Wang” and feature 3$ Asian Drafts, $4 House Wines, 5$ Sake Jars, and $5 Specialty Cocktails with free Dim Sum for all bar and patio guests from 3 till 7PM Monday through Friday!

The restaurant is designed to bring customers a feeling of relaxation and comfort while dining with family and friends. The Brasserie will offer a “taste around” (Emperors Feast) menu that is created for your group for any occasion. The private dining room at the Brasserie is a perfect setting for this culinary journey.

The Wang family and committed staff look forward to serving you!

  1. The Vanilla Prawns were the most unbelievable! I enjoyed the dum sum and other entrees as well. The semi-private troom was perfect and I look forward to going back to that awesome patio and “Hang with Wang!” I highly recommend this new place!

  2. I was already a fan of the Original “Wang” on NW Hwy, so I’m not surprised to fall in food love with the new Uptown spot. You cannot visit without trying the Vanilla Prawns, just add a little dollup of sirracha sauce and you’ll be hangin’ with Wang forever!

And we’ve all had dim sum, but get ready to be dazzled. Made fresh to order (who does that? Wang does) they will melt in your mouth. My fave, the steamed shrimp dumpling and fried pork dumpling. Best I’ve had anywhere in the city!

  3. In all honesty, I’m not a huge fan of Chinese food in general..HOWEVER…the offerings at Howard Wang’s made me a convert!
I agree that the Vanilla Prawns were amazing and I can’t wait to go back and enjoy them again!
