Just over the gleaming Margaret Hunt-Hill bridge is the new multi-purpose development, Trinity Groves. Recently the members of Corporate Concierge, inc. enjoyed a delicious luncheon at Souk Moroccan Bistro. The restaurant features Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine.
Olives, Hummus and Salads
We started our luncheon with a wonderful selection of olives, hummus, salads and other appetizers. Served with fresh, warm pita bread. The Atlas Olives (Marinated olives, confit garlic & fresh cilantro), Zaalouk (roasted eggplant with tomato, garlic, paprika and olive oil) and the Velvety Hummus were a few of our favorites.
We were then treated to a tasting of a few of the salads on the menu, including the Fez Beet Salad (tomato, cucumber & roasted red beets tossed with oranges carrots and blood orange vinaigrette) an the Mediterranean Salad (market greens, cherry tomato, cucumber, olives, feta cheese and lemon vinaigrette).
Mediterranean Entrees
The servers were quick and attentive. They also made suggestions for those of use who were not familiar with Mediterranean cuisine.

The interior of Souk is decorated with colorful plush pillows on banquette seating, with a sheer drapes hunting from the ceiling and cushions on the floor the restaurant has a cozy communal atmosphere.
Sweet Endings
We finished the meal with just enough room to try a few of their fabulous desserts. The Chef prepared a special selection of the most popular items on the dessert menu, including their Moroccan doubts, Monuts.
We also enjoyed the Pomegranate Cheesecake, topped with berry compote and the best Baklava I’ve ever tasted!

Thanks to Erin Murphy for hosting our May Corporate Concierge meeting!
