Members of Corporate Concierge, Inc enjoyed a wonderful happy hour and tour at the beautifully restored Belmont Hotel, located just south of Downtown Dallas. The Belmont Motor Hotel was built in 1946. Designed by Charles Stevens Dilbeck, it is an great example of Art Moderne design – with emphasis on horizontal lines, rounded corners and stucco facades.

The Belmont Hotel has four distinctive types of buildings containing more than a dozen different room floorplans… the Moderne Building, the Garden Rooms, the LoftBuilding and Bungalows. All of which have views of the gardens or the distinctive Dallas skyline… or both. Hotel amenities include valet parking, flat screen TVs in each room, a fitness center and so much more.

Dine at the Cliff Cafe’ for local flavor and tasty food. You will get some the best “modern comfort food” in Oak Cliff from Executive Chef Robin Gill Lacy. Using local, natural and organic ingredients, Chef Robin offers updates to classic dishes. Breakfast include Sweet Potato Pecan Pancakes and Almond Butter Oatmeal. Dinner offers new classics such as Grilled Sirloin Steak & Onions or Buffalo Chicken Mac and Cheese made with aged Blue Cheese. In addition, the Cliff Café features an eclectic selection of affordable and unique “New World” wines. And the desserts… well, you’ll just have to come and check those out for yourself.

  1. This is one of the best “hidden gems” of Dallas! Great patio with great views of the downtown Dallas skyline. And, their restaurant, Cliff Cafe, has wonderfully tasty and affordable food. Brunch is spectacular!

  2. I so enjoyed the opportunity to see this gem for myself. What a cool place! I hope to return soon and cannot wait to hang near their pool and enjoy those gorgeous views of Dallas!
